Sandy’s Racing and Gaming Prepares For First Quarter Horse Meet In Ashland

ASHLAND, KY–APRIL 26, 2026–Sandy’s Racing and Gaming in Ashland, Kentucky, is preparing to host its first Quarter Horse meet in mid-August, with construction crews working to complete new barns, paddocks, seating and fan amenities ahead of opening weekend.

The new Sandy Ridge Quarter Horse Racetrack in Boyd County will be Kentucky’s only racetrack dedicated exclusively to Quarter Horse racing.

Cyber Buzz Stays Perfect in Desert Classic Futurity at Turf Paradise

PHOENIZ, AZ–APRIL 27, 2026–Cyber Buzz remained unbeaten with a sharp victory in the $80,920 Desert Classic Futurity at Turf Paradise, covering 300 yards in :15.513 over a fast track. Sent off as the heavy favorite, the filly broke alertly, took command early, and held safely to the wire under jockey Francisco Zamora.

Owned and trained by Alex Torres-Casas, Cyber Buzz entered the final off the fastest qualifying time of :15.356 on April 6, where she dominated her trial by 2 1/2 lengths with a 104 speed index.
